Does PH315-52 ship with a TPM chip on it???

Hi,

I wanted to update my windows version to 11 and when I checked though PC health check, it said TPM must be supported and enabled on this PC (Attached screenshots below).
When I surfed around the web little bit to know more TPM, I came to know that all laptops manufactured in the recent years ship their products with a TPM chip. And also that certain manufacturers disable it in BIOS. Since I bought my laptop like a year ago, I thought the TPM chip in my laptop is disabled and I tried to enable it in BIOS menu but I could not find TPM settings at all. I tried all methods shown online like running "tpm.msc", checked UEFI firmware settings and even the manual for my model and I could not find a trace about the availability of TPM chip on my laptop.

So now, I'm wondering if my laptop has a TPM chip on it or acer has skipped it. So could someone please let me know if Acer predator PH315-52 ships with TPM chip or not????.

Hi,
Go to BIOS screen and move to Security tab, you can enable TPM in that tab, if you are still unable to enable TPM, please contact Acer Support centre in your country because I am not allowed to help with any changes in BIOS relating to passwords.

Good news is it should have one, I have a feeling that it won't show in the uefi though as it may need a tool to turn it on

Will ask over in the support side for ya to see if there is one in the works

As I have mentioned I have tried in BIOS menu as well, still no luck. As I could not see a dedicated list of options for TPM or I don't know if I'm missing something. (refer SS below)
I guess I should contact Acer India next.

It would be very helpful if you could ask and let me know of any methods for accessing TPM if available.

Yea! But before updating the tpm firmware, it must first update the bios to the latest version. It would be interesting if it informs first the version of the bios that is installed. I also have the PH315-52 model and this model does have the TPM chip.

HELP! I tried this but now my laptop is stuck in the Predator logo when it restarts

Do you know what happened? At some point it gives me an error with the blue screen of Windows: inaccessible_boot_device.

@egydiocoelho I tried that but nothing changed. I changed the SATA mode from Optane to AHCI and the laptop restarted again.

I am guessing this means no way to enable TPM for me?

@Syago if you have tried the file above but doesn't work, you can try to contact local Acer to check if they can do anything for you.

@AnhEZ28 my computer is out of warranty so I doubt they will be able to. Should I go to a computer store and see if they can do anything at all? Or you think it is not worth it?

@Syago this is mostly related to the BIOS so Acer can have much access to it. Just try to ask them but pass if they ask for charges to do the unlocking.
