  • As you can see in these images, the temperature of the cpu and gpu is too high while the cpu isn't even at 80% and while gpu is at 85-86%, i don't think it should reach temperature above 80° whatsoever, when i first bought the laptop i did not have these issues, its been 2 years since then, i have cleaned the laptop, but the fans and the heatsink seem to be attached in this model but i still tried to clean it by blowing air to the fans and change thermal paste but it's the same,

    Solution-
    1) Use fps limiter and fps to 40-45 from Nvidia software (Limiting fps reduce load of your CPU/GPU and result in low temp)
(40-45 fps provide great gaming experience not good as 60 but worth it)
2)Lift your laptop back with book or something else, Check out below link-

sometimes nothing works because very hot room temperature

Hm but i already have a good cooling pad and air conditioning in my room(my room is at 20°-25° most of the time) and fps limiter may work but since you can see in the images the cpu and gpu are not even at 90% load and they are already at such high temps

Its two years old laptop then definitely you need to replace thermal paste and clean air vents.
Currently play at cap 30, 35, or 45 fps to reduce load because heat shorten life span
    Are you still under warranty?

I have already changed the thermal paste to coolermaster master gel 11w/m-k and made sure to reseat the heat sink properly, as for cleaning the fans, the fans and the heat sink for this laptop are kind of attached together, meaning when i try to remove the heatsink, both of the fans come out as well, the fans are attached to the heatsink but i still tried to blow some air through fans using a blower and through the outlet and inlet, did everything i could but the temps were same as before, nothing changed, as for warranty, no this laptop had only 1 year warranty and its been 2 years since i bought it so its not under warranty and okay i will try to limit fps at 30 and then update you with results if temps are low.

Hi, I've had my Acer Aspire laptop for about three years now, and it still runs wonderfully. I do, though, get rather hot when I'm playing games . I've looked around online to try to figure out how to fix this. Some people have said updating the drivers helps. I tried that, but it didn't work for me. To be totally honest, I don't know many computer terms. I'm just a college student, and the only reason I have this laptop is because I used to have a desktop, but my family couldn't afford to keep it. So, I spent a lot of time researching before I bought this laptop, so I know it's a good one. I keep it in good condition, and it's only 3 years old. Are there any tips you can give me?

Wow thanks @GAMING6698 for the video, although my laptop is an acer aspire 7, at furst i thought that the fans and the heatsink are attached but after watching this video, i think they aren't amd i might clean those since in my case the dirt is accumulated for more than 2 years, i really think this might do the job, thanks bro

@bhakiag00011 yes, you should try and get a cooling pad which will life up your laptop from the suface and help in not getting much dirt accumulation inside the cooling vents as in the video, also you might want to upgrade the 8gb ram to 16gb since that 8gb is very less for playing games and sometimes my laptop crashed when ran usage was 100%, you want to use laptop in a cool environment, you should clean fans and cooling vents every 6 months, and change the stock thermal paste with a good thermal paste, like SYY157 or noctua thermal paste, though Syy157 is a really good thermal paste and does reduce the temps by a lot and also might want to change the thermal pads on the gpu with k5 pro paste or a good thermal paste, every 6 months since temperature issues does begin when too much dirt is accumulated inside laptop, in my case before it was 70° maximum at 100% cpu and gpu usage while now, its 90° even at 50% cpu usage and 80% gpu usage so cleaning is very important and once every 6 months is enough, and keep the laptop carefully and safely :D no need to worry, the laptop has powerful hardware so it won't feel slow for a very long time, :D
