Acer ACTAB1021 10" Helpdesk Website unable to recognise my Serial Number

I bought an Acer ACTAB1021 10" Tablet for my mother-in-law last year which has since developed a fault. The charging port overheats and has melted the plastic around it! I have tried to contact Acer support on line to register it for a repair but the Serial Number on the back of the device is not recognised!? I don't know what else to do - any suggestions out there?

    1. VIEW SERIAL NUMBER: From the About tablet screen, select Status.
    2. The Serial number will be displayed under Serial number.

    I have forgotten the pin for my Acer ACTAB821 tablet, how do I reset it?

    I am having the same issue - with the serial number not being recognised - in my case its the volume button that isn't working

    If you also have an ACTAB1021 model, you need to start your support ticket with the vendor, not with Acer. Those models were designed for a specific vendor and they got special pricing because they were providing support directly.
