I had this problem since maybe last year september, my laptops screen stops working after the Acer logo, but it works fine when i disable integrated graphics 630. I already tried everything i know to do, changed ddrs, changed the paste for the gpu's, cleaned everything, downgrading and upgrading bios. I'm positive that its a software problem but I just can't figure it out. coz it works on an external display, and microsoft basic adapter works, but intel HD graphics 630 makes my screen go black.

Uninstall all the graphics drivers both Intel and NVIDIA GTX driver (for the GTX NVIDIA driver use the Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 18.0.4.9) then reinstall the last GTX driver and make sure that you have the last bios version  1.08 and install the Intel Driver & Support Assistant and update all the Intel drivers to their last versions for your Aspire VX5-591G. Also make sure that all Windows Updates” are up to date. As the Intel 7th Gen HD 630 integrated graphics should not be giving you black screens.

    1. Turn off your laptop.
    2. Remove the AC adapter cable, hard drives, the battery and any other attached peripheral devices.
    3. Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds and release. ...
    4. Put your battery back in and plug the charger. ...
    5. Press the Power button as normal to turn on your laptop.

I think I tried what you said, i uninstalled it all before, also i already did a reinstallation of windows 10 a clean one with no files, but i havent tried it with the  Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 18.0.4.9 i downgraded my bios to 1.06 just for trying if it's the cause of my malfunction. could i show a video of something here in this site? my laptop has a somekind of glitch where i could make it work for a few miliseconds.

Please post a screenshot of DeviceManager with the View tab 'show hidden devices' option checkmarked and the display adapters folder open.

Do i also remove Intel via DDU? or just uninstalling it from the device manager will do?

When you opened Device Manager, did the Display folder automatically open up like shown below without you clicking on it?

The Hall magnetic lid position sensor below your top cover is probably stuck. There's a magnet embedded behind your screen bezel near the top. When you close the lid, the magnet behind the bezel activates the Hall sensor below the top cover. It then shuts the UHD adapter off.  When you lift the lid, the magnetic field shuts of and turns the adapter back on. Obviously, you're temporarily unsticking the stuck Hall sensor with a moving field.

Does the moving magnet have any effect on the discrete adapter?

How come my screen works when i disable the Intel HD Graphics 630? if i enable it now, my screen will shut off, then if is disable it, screen is still off so what i do is i turn the lid down so my laptop goes to sleep, then once its asleep i turn it back on and voila it will work with a disabled intel.

Is there any idea where i could check that hall sensor thing??

If the Intel GPU is still disabled, it's likely that the screen is using the nvidia GPU. That's why I wanted you move the magnet near the front panel to see if the nvidia  powered screen is affected.

It simply means the nvidia GPU is responding to the hand magnet, just like the Intel GPU only in the opposite way. Now close the lid. Can you tell if the nvidia powered screen turned off or is it still on?

OK. Two more tests with the Intel GPU still disabled in Device Manager.

    (1) Open Control Panel. Search 'button' Click 'change what  the power buttons do' in left pane. Change the setting 'when I close the lid' to 'do nothing' on both battery and plugged in. Save changes,

Does the display still go off when you close the lid? If yes, does the display come back on when you open the lid? If yes, again. go to test #2.

    (2) Shut down Windows normally. Then turn it back on. Do you see the ACER boot logo before Windows starts? If not, shut down Windows normally again. Then turn it back on and immediately start tapping the F2 key to enter the BIOS menu. Do you see a BIOS menu? If not, press and hold power button till laptop shuts off. No LEDs should be lit except battery charge LED if plugged in.

    Report back with results.
