My Aspire Z3-705 started to slow Don and freeze/go blank. I followed Windows instructions and inserted the recovery media. It started loading and kept going into the night. Next morning it said "failed to reboot" The only way I could clear it was to turn off. Now on switching on it as for recovery disk and press any button, I insert the stick, press a button and get the same message. HELP!!

    1. Download and install Disk Drill.
    2. Connect your dead flash drive to your computer.
    3. Launch Disk Drill and scan the dead flash drive.
    4. Preview & select files for recovery.
    5. Recover selected files to a safe location.

Prior to your attempt to re-install, you said that your system was freezing and going blank. That could mean that your hard drive is failing and you need a new HDD.

Your computer is around 6 or 7 years old (plus or minus) and that’s when most mechanical hard drives start to fail…5-8 years.
