OK. Shut the machine off. Remove the USB thumbdrive. Then turn the machine back on.Immediately tap F2 to enter the BIOS menu.Change boot order so Seagate 500GB is #1. USB HDD #2.Press F10 to save settings and exit BIOS menu. Please understand that this drive is very slow with a tiny cache. So it may take as much as 10-15 mins with a black screen to load necessary files and boot into the Mint desktop.

Go back into BIOS menu. Re-enable secure boot in Boot tab. Then in Security tab, chose to erase all secure boot settings. Then select a UEFI file as trusted. Select HDD0. Select EFI folder. Select ubuntu folder. Select grubx64.efi. Please note if other efi file are in ubuntu folder. F10 to save settings and exit.

>>>I did set Boot Description to: ubuntu>>>What do you mean? Did you change the boot order again. The Seagate should still be first.
