    Hi,
Could you please post the full model name of the laptop, like, A5xx-xx, in the meantime, try using different DNS address, go to Control panel, Network and Internet, Network Sharing centre, click your Wifi card and select Properties, highlight IPV4 and select Properties, select the radio button for Use the fo;;wing server address, enter 8.8.8.8 for the top row(red), enter 8.8.4.4 for lower row(blue).

Go to Device manager, expand Network adapters and right click Properties, select Advanced tab, try different Preferred band and see whether it helps.

Your A517-51G came with one of two different WiFi/Bluetooth cards. Look in Device Manager and let us know if it's the Atheros or Intel part. Either one only supports 150Mbps in in 802.11n mode, and up to 433Mbps in 802.11ac mode. What router are you connecting with, and with which frequency (2.4GHz or 5GHz)?
