Hello, I have purchased 2x XB273U GS and 1x XB273U GX. I have set up the GX as the main monitor and the 2 GS either side. When setting them up I have found out right away that I need to be a rocket scientist to set them up with all the settings the monitor comes with. It would be fantastic to get a simple run down of what setting the monitor should be on depending what you are doing.

The GS seems pretty good as they look great in sRGB and HDR however the GX looks horrible in both. I was hoping that all panels would look similar however the GX is more of a Yellow in both sRGB and HDR. The white is not crisp like the other panels when running identical settings. When I turn the GX panel to HDR i am blinded by the over saturation of colours. The Red that fires out at you is like staring in to a fire.

I use the screens for 2 purposes, Work - emails and websites, so mainly working with Microsoft Office. I will then also like to play games and watch twitch. Could I please get assistance to how these monitors need to be set up so they look identical and I can use them for both functions?

As a Product Management idea please provide these guides for future customers that are looking for monitors. I am sure there is a lot of potential in the screens but it is not unlocked because there is no guidance to how to optimise the displays.

Thanks

Very subjective issues. Difficult to quantify for a guide. Especially with side to side comparisons of different monitors where the human eye can pick up very slight subtle variations in color and hue. The human eye will even easily pick up slight variations between identical monitors that are identically set up in side to side comparisons.

So I suggest trying to focus on one monitor with a bothersome quality at a time. For example, the GX seems too yellow for your tastes. So google search "XB273U GX" & "too yellow". First hit suggests what you might do on a very similar model.

Sorry but color and/or color-temperature matching is a difficult trial & error process. Made more difficult by individual tastes. What might be acceptable to me might not be acceptable to you. In your case, I think you need general guidelines that can best be done by google searches

Thanks @JackE however I disagree. You can provide a guide to assist someone set up the screens. Ie Do I touch HUE, Saturation , do I have HDR on or sRGB or one of the 1000 other modes.

When I have sRGB on all 3 screens, the GX looks completely different and HDR is not usable. If I am using sRGB across all screens I would assume there would be some similarity. As an FYI in this mode you do not have a lot of customization.

In terms of Google, your link does not help as it is talking about a completely different screen. I spent hours reading post and watching Youtube videos on the GX but there is not a lot of information online. Rtings.com also mentions over saturation in HDR of the GX. You would think that there would not be a lot of difference between the GX and the GS but it is huge.
