Hello

I have Acer E1-531 10052G32Mnka laptop
It's so laggy I can't even play minecraft on normal settings + I can't buy new pc so I decided to slightly upgrade CPU, RAM replace hdd with sdd and maybe replace GPU if it's possible. I'm not good at laptops so I need suggestions about what is the maximum that I can do

Well, it is something like ten years old, so lower performance isn't a surprise. :) The HDD->SSD change will give you the best performance boost by far, start with that. How much memory do you have in it now, and which OS is installed? The next step is likely to be the memory upgrade, but we will need to know which memory is installed now. You can go to a maximum of 8GB using two DDR3 1066/1333 SO-DIMMS. If you are going to put two in for the upgrade you will want the 1333s. If you are only installing one it should be the same speed as what is in there now. I wouldn't bother with a CPU upgrade, but if you do you should be able to put an i7-2640M or i7-2620M in, they are both 35W so shouldn't need any redesign of the cooling. The quad core i7s all need better power dissipation, so wouldn't be a good choice.

    Hi

    Thanks for replying!

My toaster has 6gb RAM installed right now, OS is windows 7 (64x of course)
I use my laptop as pc (I never move it, it's always charging because of dead battery) so can i use quad core cpu?
Also what about gpu? Is it even possible to apply it?
