I got Acer Nitro5 AN515-56-58EE 8GB RAM & want to add at least 8G RAM + M.2 Gen3 Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB + SSD Samsung 870 QVO 2TB (
What recommendations/restrictions should I consider?
I ordered Crucial CT8G4SFS832A 1x8GB DDR4 SODIMM 3200MHz CL22. Can I use the 16GB version with the existing 8GB RAM safely, or maybe it's better to replace both with 16 or 32GB later when the prices become more affordable (if ever based on political chaos).

(Thread was edited to add model name to the title)

@DimiEsperanto if you use it for gaming, then 16GB(2 8GB sticks) are just fine for you.

Buy two RAM stick with the same capacity and same model number, preferably of dual-rank (2x16 or 2x8).

Thanks. Never play games Observing human bias I've become Data (IT) Philosopher.
I liked the great value (price) for very configurable laptop & advanced USB-C (except no USB-C charging option).
I would use 2-3 4K monitors & later for Python programming, so the GPU would be handy.
I prefer desktop for full configurability (waiting for DDR5/Pcie5 generation), but needed more stable solution for the new work-from-home job via virtual machine while waiting for their laptop.
Also as backup, as the old Lenovo E450 has serious issues with MB (even new battery doesn't charge).

I want in future to be fully USB-C (thunderbolt) - fewer cables & for all devices (phones, headphones, laptops, PCs, etc).
