First, thanks for including your full model number. So many people skip that step... :)
Is the screen fully black, or is it a dark gray with the normal stuff faintly visible if you shine a flashlight on the screen at an angle? That can help pin it down to a specific hardware issue that might happen where the backlight has gone out. There are two status lights on that right side. One for the battery status (amber when charging, blue when fully charged and off when not charging) and one for the power status (on when powered up or entering hibernation mode, flashing when in a sleep mode). Which one is showing and what color is it?
The power drain thing is actually a battery reset. You disconnect everything with the laptop shut down, then press and hold the button behind that pinhole for 15-30 seconds. Then you release the button and wait 15-30 minutes (this allows the onboard capacitors to fully drain) before plugging power back in. With the power plugged in you wait for the battery indicator to show a full charge and only then do you turn things back on. If you don't do all the steps you don't get the battery internal stats fully reset and it can leave you in the same condition as you started with.

the screen is fully black, the power status is blue and not blinking

i did the battery reset exactly as you said, but i plug it in to charge it, battery status is blue even after pressing the button and leaving it for 30 mins then pressed the power button still black screen, so i did it again but i waited for about 2 hours and still when plugging it in, it is still blue and screen is fully black.

i did notice something when the laptop is running, there is still the charging sound when plugging and unplugging the charger

Yes, I believe that sound is handled in the BIOS instead of in the OS. Let's try running the battery down for a while to make sure we're not just dealing with an overcharged battery. Take a USB device that uses power (an external HDD or your phone would be great, but a USB fan or light might work as well) and plug it into the front blue USB port on the left side. That one provides power for phone charging and such even when the laptop is off. Let it sit for a few hours with the charger disconnected, then plug the charger in. The battery status light should come on amber, indicating charging. Now try to turn it on.

So you got it to move from the blue light to amber and it didn't let you boot still? That means it's much less likely to be a simple battery issue. Do you have an external monitor you can connect to see if any video is working?

Not a good sign then, it's a lot less likely to just be a display issue if both the internal display and the HDMI port doesn't do anything. :( It might be possible the power button itself isn't working. Yours is part of the keyboard though, so there's no good way to test without plugging in a replacement. We don't have visibility into the pinout of the keyboard connector, so can't even tell if the power button has two conductors or if it's multiplexed in with the rest of the keys (I think the former, but have no real proof)... You could open it up and reseat the keyboard connector a few times, in case it's a corrosion issue.
