Hi, I installed a secondary hard drive to the M2 slot (a bigger drive)  The current boot drive is 500gb and I want to boot off the 1 tb drive I installed in the secondary slot. Or at the very least I want windows 11 to recognize the 1tb drive but it doesn't.
bios recognizes the drive, disk manager recognizes the drive, but file explorer doesn't recognize the drive.

Questions:  How can I get windows to boot off the secondary hard drive in the m2 slot vs. the primary hard drive in the m2 slot.  Right now bios says "boot manager"
or at the very least how can I get Windows to recognize the drive.

Thank you

Thank you.  I have the AN515-55-78YX.  I didn't search yet, but where can I get this driver?  I imagine off Acer's web site.
And do you think that'll solve my problem?  Thank you very much.

@Huskerfangary you can use disk management to create a partition for the new SSD. If you want to install Windows on the second drive, you can use a software that can clone the whole OS and files to the new SSD so that you don't have to reinstall everything. Or create a Windows installation to a USB and use it to install Windows on that drive.
Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!

Ah yup that will be it, 11thGen is the VMD driver from here:
    https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19512/intel-rapid-storage-technology-driver-installation-software-with-intel-optane-memory-10th-and-11th-gen-platforms.html

Add the driver to the install media, When you are on the disk select screen in setup, you hit f6 or press you need a driver, select it, and the disks should appear

Thank you everyone!  I got it to clone over but now it is only able to recognize the 500 gb of the total 1 tb drive.  The other 500 gb is unallocated.  how do I allocate it to make it a 1 tb hard drive again?

Update:  I "merged" the allocated and unallocated volumes and now I have 930 gb of volume.  I think I am good.  :)
