Self RAM upgrade and Warranty for Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-57)

I have purchased the Acer Nitro 5(AN515-57) recently. But gaming performance is mediocre because of 8gb ram. I would like to upgrade it to 16gb on my own. Will it void the warranty if I upgrade it on my own? I'm from India. Also it would be helpful if anyone can suggest the best ram for upgrade.

@AmitNair70 you can try to contact Acer in India for best inquiry about warranty. If the bottom of the laptop doesn't have any Acer warranty stickers, most likely that you can upgrade the RAM without voiding the warranty. If you can upgrade right now, you can use RAM with specs like DDR4-3200MHz SODIMM. Any brands are fine but stay away from XMP RAM.

In upgrading new Nitro 5 laptops you have to take the back cover off and that has to be done in a proper way and without any physical damage as its pretty easy to do to upgrade the ssd, hdd and ram and does not void warranty if its done properly and with compatible components. For your ram, Install CPUz and look under memory and spd for the specs and manufacturer serial number and try to match that or match it with similar ram specs as your 8GB DDR4 specs.

The oem DDR4 memory that you have should be 1x 8GB DDR$-3200MHz so match this with the exact specs of CPUz with another 8GB to give you 2x 8GB total 16GB ram which should work, btw I've got the AN515-56 and I've update the ram to 32GB at 2x 16GB DDR4-3200MHz and it works perfectly and I've also updated the OEM WD NS-550 M.2 512GB SSD to their upper range WD NS-850 M.2 1TB and it works perfectly.
