It's been 4 months since i bought my laptop Acer nitro 5 Ryzen 5 5600H with RTX 3050TI in the start i wasn't getting any lag while playing the game but later one after like 2 months in games like Red Dead 2, Control and some other games i am getting huge frame drops and there's no heating issue with my even games like Genshin i get frame drops sometimes but in start i never used to lag even in high end games like Red Dead and control is there any fix to it? and i already put the fan speed to maximum and the power plan on performance the temp stays between 70-80 while game doesn't really overheat and i also put things under the laptop so the ventilation will be better so i don't know what's causing the frame drops

Do you have an non- M ic roso ft anti-virus running in the background that are often bundled with the factory software? Please post a screenshot of TaskManager's startup tab if possible.

If you didn't install anything new, it could be an issue with the game update or windows updates.

Thanks for reporting back. I suggest that you do this in case it happens again. Open Control Panel. Search 'restore point'. Click 'create a restore point'. In the box that pops up, make sure System Protection is turned on so automatic restore points are created so you don't have to do a factory reset the next time.
