USB Ports no longer working after Windows 10 Re-install (A315-41-R3RF)

I recently re-installed Windows 10 Home edition with assistance from Microsoft Support. Since then, none of my USB ports work. I've plugged up multiple products to them without any success.
I've contacted Microsoft and their solution was to update Remove & Re-install USB Root Drivers & Turn off the Power Management feature - neither solved my issue. I've downloaded Acer Care and ran scans and everything seems to be working fine.

Note: Laptop turns on, charges, connects through HDMI, Ethernet, Sound, etc.

Does anyone have a solution?

You should have re-installed the ACER OEM factory Win10 version from the hidden Win10 factory recovery partition on your boot drive, not the Microsoft generic Win10 version.

Try this. F2 into the BIOS menu on startup. Make sure the F12 and D2D boot options are enabled in the BIOS MAIN tab. Then press F10 to save settings and exit.

    Shut the laptop off again.

Then turn it back on and immediately press the ALT key while tapping the F10 key.

A recovery menu should appear to allow you to reset the machine to a factory fresh Acer OEM version of Win10 with all the drivers necessary for the USB ports to work again if there are no hardware failures.

    Jack,

Thanks for your response! So far, I've gone into the BIOS and enabled F12 & D2D boot options, saved & exited & restarted my computer.

The issue i'm running into is when I hit ALT + F10 the Windows "Advanced Options" menu pops up with the following options:

STARTUP REPAIR - Tried this: I get "No problems detected / cannot repair"
UEFI FIRMWARE SETTINGS: Not sure what this is...
    COMMAND PROMPT:
SYSTEM RESTORE: I get: "No restore points have been created"
    UNINSTALL UPDATES
SYSTEM IMAGE RECOVERY: I get "Windows cannot find a system image on this computer".

Which option should I choose to get back to the OEM version?

    (1) What problem were you trying to fix by re-installing Win10 with the help of Microsoft?
    (2) Please post a screenshot of DeviceManager if possible
    (3) Download and install iobit's DriverBooster freeware driver tools to see if it can pick up any missing or better drivers on line

Initially I re-installed windows myself but for some reason W10 Pro was installed, so I downgraded w/ assistance from microsoft.
I'll download DriverBooster & report back.

Yes, I understand that you tried to reinstall Win10. My question was why? And what external USB devices don't work in your USB ports? Because I don't see any obvious issues so far with the laptop's USB port controllers. Which leads me to suspect that your external USB devices might have issues.

Originally, I was re-installing W10 w/ a usb tool because I forgot to create a restore point & wanted a fresh copy for my girlfriend to use for school. & I've used several devices that work on several other computers. Everything from a wireless mouse dongle, to a USB hub, to a wired mouse & keyboard. I get the same result. Nothing - no noise, no notification, no use.

Yep! Then restarted my computer & tested the USB ports again - still, nothing!

Open Device Manager again. The click on the view tab to show hidden devices. Please post another screenshot of the main folders. Don't try to expand any of the main folders.

Update: I cracked open the laptop and the ribbon connecting the USB to the motherboard was loose. Took it off and reconnected it. USB now works. Thanks for your help in troubleshooting!
