ACER A715-74G won't power on

Hi,

I had my ACER A715-74G plugged in for about 2 days, without use. Then I wanted to use it again, but it wouldn't power-up. First reaction was that the charger failed. Bought a brand new charger, but still no powering up, no light-indicators, no noises, nothing.
Now, before I send it in for repair (with all the hassle and costs involved), I would like to make sure it is nothing really silly or straightforward like with the battery or bios or so. I was looking for some way to reset the battery, but can't seem to find a battery-reset pinhole, like you typically find them on other models.
Any ideas on how I could test if it's something with the battery (or the bios chip) requiring a reset, without having to open it up?

Many thanks!

    (1) Unplug the charger.
    (2)  Press & hold power button for about 30 seconds to auto reset/disconnect the battery from the mainboard.
    (3) Plug charger back in.
    (4)  If battery charge LED is lit, wait for it to turn steady blue before trying to turn it on.
    (5)  If battery charge LED is unlit or blinking, remove charger again and snug up the bottom cover screws
    (6) Plug charger back in.
    (7) If charge LED is still unlit, then yes arrange for warranty repair

Hi @JackE, thank you so much for the advise.
Now, I got to step 5), unfortunately without any LEDs lit or blinking. But then I was a bit puzzled about point 5). Maybe its because I'm not native English speaking, but you are suggesting to "snug up the bottom cover screws". Do I understand correctly that you are assuming the screws and bottom cover already had been removed, before following your instructions?

    Thanks again!

Snug up screws. This means gently tightening screws in clockwise direction if they feel loose.
