So...it is friday and I have decided to clean up my fans in Acer Nitro 5, but while I was putting it back together, I have noticed the screws have penetrated the upper plastic surface of the laptop, I did not think Acers are that low quality to actually not withstand small screw being pushed in a bit harder.

Anyway, I am absolutely ***** off right now as it's weekend and now I need to deal with this, I wanted to ask, if there is any possible solution and remove that spot and make it smooth again.

Thank you for possible answer.

Different length screws are used to secure components. This usually happens if different length screws were mixed up when re-assembling and not in their proper location. Looks like the screw used was too long for that particular location.

You must first remove the screw that's in there now. Then replace it with a smaller length screw that is now apparently being used elsewhere when you re-assembled.

Once the proper length screw is in there, you might be able to gently push the protrusion back down level to the rest of the case surface.with a pencil eraser. Don't apply to much pressure or you may cause more damage. If it was mine, I'd probably leave the protrusion alone as a cosmetic imperfection after replacing the screw of proper length.

I have been told all screws for Acer Nitro 5 are same size, and I haven't noticed some screws are longer than rest of them.

Sorry no, there are at least 8 different screws used in a typical AN5 assembly as shown below.

Most folks probably won't notice the 2mm length difference between, for example, the m2.5x8 usually used on bottom cover, and the m2.5x6 usually used for affixing the thermal modules.

But if an m.2.5x8 is used on the thermal module, the extra 2mm can definitely result in a case protrusion similar to that in the image you posted. .
