PH315-53 No Charge light, no charge. Can someone explain how it is the battery?

So, the consensus around here is that when these things happen, the battery can no longer keep up and is not able to be recharged enough? Can someone explain this to me in a more concise and technical manner?

This seems odd. I just wanted to know if anyone else is having this issue or has had this fixed just by replacing the battery. My Fluke meter is at work, so I did not have a chance to troubleshoot the charger yet, but after reading the forum it is the battery.

So the solution was the charger. I got my multimeter in. I was able to narrow the culprit down to a component in the charger that failed. Thanks all. <3

Correct. Again, I have not tested the charger yet. I do microsoldering sometimes. I gave the charger a good sniff and it checked out. I think maybe one of the caps or one of the step down coils may have been iffy.

So when I turned it on after I noticed it was unexpectedly off, I did get the "critical battery low" on the screen with no charging or battery lights as is usually on while charging.

    Hi @haydaddict,

Did you try to charge it with different charger.

Greetings Easwar. Thank you for coming to troubleshoot. I will know the answer to that on Saturday I think. My very sketchy multimeter died so I ordered a Fluke 115. Also, an Acer charger should be here on Saturday too. I have a battery coming that will be in on Tuesday. Just giving you an update and that I have not abandoned thread.

I will @ you then. So keep your eyes peeled for me. :)
