Does the Type C port on the Predator PH315-52 not recognize any USB hubs?

I have a Predator Helios PH315-52 an am trying to utilize a USB hub via the Type C port. About 15 seconds after plugging it into the port I get a notification that the USB device cannot be recognized. In the device manager it pops up with 'Unknown USB device (Port Reset Failed). It seems to function properly but I get a reminder ping every minute or so of the lack of recognition. This hub works fine on my tablet and my thumb drive works fine on my laptop's Type C port. Plugging in a power source to the hub first does not make a difference. I have installed the free upgrade to Windows 11 and am wondering if maybe this is cause by a lack of driver support for Windows 11 or if this port is just not designed to handle hubs rather than thumb drives.

What hub is it? It could be soemthing like it's drawing too much power , or have a feature which isn't supported like hdmi alt mode
