What is your laptops model number? As this could be a software, or graphics driver issues or HDD, memory issues that your laptop has or not enough memory to run video applications hence the lag. Give us more info of your device and specs and/or if you are running an SSD and how much RAM?

Normal. Some videos behave like this. Others don't. Happens on all my machines with both AMD and Intel CPUs.

Update the browser that you are using? As MS Edge has just had a new update today or check upodates for the browser that you are using. Also update the NVidia GTX-1650 GPU driver to the last version 511.65  WHQL and install and scan the Intel drivers and graphics driver with the “Intel® Driver & Support Assistant” software as this scan will make sure that all Intel drivers are up to date. Also increase RAM as 8GB is adequate but not real crash hot as far as memory capacity these days is concerened as 16GB to 32GB is allot better for all applications to run smoother and better.

Yes. But don't take my word for it. Send your machine in for repair to try to fix a video that some wannabe movie producer posted online. Then you'll know for sure where it's at. :)

Try this.  Shut the machine down normally. Unplug the charger. Insert a paperclip into the reset pinhole on the bottom for about 30 seconds. Plug the charger back in. Wait for the batteery charge LED to turn steady blue. Then turn it on and check for mouse lags again.

As mentioned earlier, this is normal web behavior. Some videos behave like this. Others don't. Happens on all my machines with both AMD and Intel CPUs. Parly due to the video producers, partly due to web speed at the time you're viewing the videos and partly due to the client (other folks like you)  traffic load on the server that's delivering the videos to the web. Nothing seems wrong with your client machine.

Are you using wireless mouse? If so, waking it up from power down mode experiencing a lag is normal.

Yes, the mouse lag is primarily what I'm talking about.  When I move the mouse with some of these online videos, the video stalls and mouse pointer behavior is erratic,

It can be related to (1) how the video was made --- for example, resolution to high for the internet connection speed (2)  your local ISP traffic is high --- your friends and neighbors are using the same ISP (3) internet traffic the video server is trying to handle is high.

I think you are fretting too much over the quality of internet youtube etc  videos which are limited by the bandwidth of all the internet connections. As such, you don't always get instant satisfaction from your mouse, keyboard, touchpad or touchscreen input. What you are experiencing is entirely normal intenet tbehavior.

If it was my machine --- and couldn't accept or believe any of this flaky internet behavior --- and was convinced my laptop has the problem --- then I'd send it in for repair to try to fix it. But it's not my machine. It's your's. So you have to make the decisions.
