So I was pressing a few buttons and then the screen starting flashing a very light grey on the screen. I'm not sure how I caused it to do that. The flash/blinking is very light but is noticeable. What setting do I go to to fix this? I tried resetting the settings to default but it did not work.

Hey! So I managed to fix the problem awhile back. Just came back to update this.

Weirdly enough, if I turned/moved the monitor around a bit, the grey tint would go away and I would get the nice clear picture quality that it's supposed to have. Sometimes it would go back to having the grey tint and lightly flashing if I accidentally bumped it or turned it off and back on, going from light grey to clear repeatedly. I would move it again around a bit and it would fix itself. Not exactly sure why this fixes it but it did. Also, it doesn't seem to randomly start going grey now at all.

Also for the previous comment, I use an HDMI cable. I researched previously and thought maybe a Display port cable would fix it so I went and bought one. Then I realized my laptop, which I use my monitor as a second screen for, does not have a spot to plug in a display port. But the HDMI ended up being fine now.

It's the Acer Nitro VG240Y for anyone wondering.

I'm guessing the HDMI cable was slightly loose at one end or the other. When playing around with it to test the DP you likely got it seated better.
