Hello I have Acer Nitro 5 AN517-52 and I am trying to connect external microphone. I did use realtek audio console and set analog mode to headphones. But whatever I try I simply cannot have headphones and mic active at the same time. I have splitter which can split 3,5mm combined jack into mic and headphones and I also can split my headphones into headphones and mic (because they have mic as well). Any idea ?

Just to add if I use headphones with mic in headset mode then it works but not with splitter and mic

Hello yes, I tried every common settings I know of. Issue is that when I use splitter no mic is recognizes except build one. (Splitter is last on right in my image). I already ordered new headset which will work, but still would like to know how to use solo mic in future. For now, only USB connector type is viable in my situation.

Have you tried the y splitter and mic in headset mode?

You may lose your speakers because the computer expects a headphone as well.

I tried every combination of my equipment. Nothing worked. But I already have new headset with single combined jack which works.
