Hello acer community

i started having a problem with my Nitro 5 AN515-42 gets black screen frozen when i am off the charger. Trying to reboot, the pc started boot then shutting down and again endlessly, only when i plug back the charger to start rebooting properly.
I have Kali Linux dual boot with the Windows. Even when disabling the GRUB and removing anything suspicious, still the same problem.

please help me

Do you mean across windows and Linux , and does it go black randomly when on or something else?

If it's black when in, does audio keep running , or does that stop as well?

This freeze happens randomly, it can happens after rebooting (not doing anything) or while working on something (it didn't happen on linux ).
When the computer freeze, it either goes black screen (no sound, no cursor, no Keyboard LED responding) or it freezes when video is running with screen stoping, sound glitching and no response from the machine !
Yet, i do not believe that the problem is from the Kali linux or GRUB
Note: this happened after a Windows Update !

The dual boot option or the Windows Boot Manager during restart may not show for several reasons. ... The boot menu is not activated. Systems with fast startup enabled may boot directly into the default OS without offering any boot options. The default operating system in Startup and Recovery may be incorrectly configured.

    Hello @Easwar

Sorry to bother again. So you are recommending to disable fast boot ? And do you think removing Kali Linux entirely would return the laptop to it previous stable state ?

Hmm I doubt something like that will be the dual boot, is it only on windows? If so I have a feeling it's the display driver crashing

    Hi @TunisianDAVinci

Maybe you can try to just install Kali inside the WSL (Windows Sub-system for Linux) this way Kali will run alongside Windows.

I'm giving a link if you want to try:
