Is battery drain while plugged in normal in Nitro 5 AN515-45?

I very recently bought the laptop and observed my battery draining even while it was plugged in. Around 7% per hour when gaming. I dont play any heavy AAA games. Mostly only valorant or csgo in medium settings. It even drained 4% battery while switched off. I have never got such issue on any of my previously owned laptops so most likely not a faulty connection.

My acer nitro doesn't drain battery while plugged in, So i'd say not normal. Try to adjust battery settings. I've set mine to forever 80% with the Acer APP.

I have reduced my cpu performance to 90% and only my power plan is high performance. Every other setting reduced, still it drains 3% per hour. Is there a chance that battery is faulty?

Yes I too got the Acer Nitro 5 AN517-54 this past March and when I play any games ... like Elder Scrolls Online my battery also drains down to about 30 percent over the course of a few hours even when plugged in. Is my battery defective or is it a setting to be corrected. Thank so much. :)
