So I have decided to upgrade my ram on my Acer nitro 5 an515-43 (ryzen series). I just have a question, do I need to unplug the battery before putting the ram in or it is ok that the battery is still plug on the mobo? cause I'm scared that their will be a hardware issue or smth please answer

@SHowshi yes, always disconnect the battery first before doing any upgrade on the motherboard.

Where do I disconnect the battery from the mobo? and is it ok to have 2 different type of ram because the that I will buy is crucial 8gb and the brand that is inside my laptop is a-data (i think)?

And btw can it not be the same speed? like the speed that is needed is 2667 and the memory inside of the laptop is 2667 probably and the one that i will buy is 3200mhz is that ok?

@SHowshi the battery connector is right below the wifi card and looks like this:

You can use different ram brand and is fine to use 3200MHZ because it will lower to 2667MHZ
