Touchscreen gone but Stylus OK on SP513-54N?

Hello to everyone,
Why would any touch input die suddenly... while stylus works perfectly!
Is it the touchscreen module that burned out inside the display panel, the cable that got cut somewhere?
My laptop is just 2 months passed its first year, so I need to find a whole display replacement or sell it for parts, which is a shame... I like this beast!
Please help me if you can share your knowledge or experience, that would be very appreciated!

Ho, and I started by checking in Device Manager...
Also checked if cables were all ok inside the cases.
Re-enabling, Re-installing from Acer, checking updates etc.
Actually I finally reformated the drive and reinstalled completely without any change to the problem!

There are essentially two digitizers built into your display, the active digitizer for the AES pen and a capacitive digitizer for the touch. Either the capacitive digitizer has failed or the cabling that runs between the display and motherboard has an issue. It is much more likely the cable unless there is an evidence of damage to the display, such as might happen if it got dropped.

Thanks for your answer, but I can't see any visible damage on cables or board.
I wonder if I can test and reset the control board directly...
Otherwise I will keep an eye on aftermarkets and wait for a cable and or touch control board to buy and make further tests.
It is really too bad because the touch feature is a main asset of a convertible 2 in 1.

Another possibility is the internal USB connection behind the touch screen. The system sees the touch screen as another USB device. Check in Device Manager to see if any of the USB devices are reporting a problem... Perhaps a reinstall of the chipset drivers might help if that's the case.

Thanks again, but nothing shows wrong anywhere in Device Manager (all pwr management is off, and Bios default too in case). All updates, trust me.
I reopened it today to reseat all cables but same on reboot: everything works (including Stylus function that relies on same Wacom board) EXCEPT finger touch input so the board is at least functional.
Actually I can't calibrate either from OS, so would that mean it could be the magnetic input wires?

It is most likely the internal USB port not being recognized by the system, which means the touchscreen isn't even connected as far as the OS is concerned. Try Show Hidden Devices and scan for hardware in Device Manager to see if something shows up there. If not maybe an uninstall, reboot to force a reinstall will work on the USB sections.

But there's no issue in Device Manager, nor Troubleshooter!
Infos shows the device to be Touchscreen Capable, but impossible to Calibrate further away...
I did uninstall to force recognition, but same drivers shows up after updates etc.
Did format and reinstall whole system with Acer recovery, same issue again.
I ordered a Spin 713 for 450$, will be able to swap the whole display at once, hopefully!
