Aspire F5-573-75MP laptop won’t boot…

My Aspire F15 Laptop will not boot. When I press the power button, the keyboard backlight comes on, stays on, and the backlight on the display turns on. Other than that, the system is unresponsive. I have tried booting to the BIOS, nothing. Holding the power button down for 30 seconds, nothing. I really don’t want to dispose of this machine, but to get it working again. I am extremely thankful for any help that is provided. (I can’t keep working off of an iPad much longer.)

Did this happen suddenly for no apparent reason?
What is the full F15 model number? For example. F5-571G?

F5-573-75MP. I have had to have the HDD replaced in June, July of 2021 because the original HDD was failing and causing issues with windows.

What is the model number e.g. F5-xxx as F15 means nothing as there are many F15 models. Try to disconnect the battery and leave it unplugged for 15min, as this will also reset your laptops bios, also take the RAM out and clean the pins and replace the the RAM then reboot the laptop and as soon as it fires up, press the F2 key to get into the bios and reset the bios to default and reboot. See if all that fixes your issue?

Just putting the machine back together now.  It still wont post (Nothing happens on the screen.) Even with giving it 3 minutes to load.. Is it possible that this could be a motherboard issue?

Try ths: press the power button on. When the backlight comes on press the power button until it goes off. Repeat two more times. On the 4th power on it shoulg go into repair mode.

Are these the same symptoms that happened last June/July?

No they are not. Last June/July windows was stuck in recovery mode. This is something completely different, and that I’ve never seen before.

Do you see the same blank white baclit  screen when you HDMI out to a TV? You might have to press FN+F5 to toggle the TV screen on and off.

It doesn’t output anything. Both a tv and monitor, recognize that something is connected, however the laptop isn’t outputting a signal.

Did you also press FN+F5 to try to toggle the signal on?

To quote back to my original post, “ Other than that, the system is unresponsive” this means keyboard too.
Just for sanity’s sake, I tried that. No luck.

I suspect the KB connector has either come loose or needs re-seating to help clean the contacts. Since it's so close to the HDD connector and bay, it may have been jarred when the HDD was replaced. You might be able to access it by removing the 3 screws on the HDD door.

The KB connector is in place.

Doesn't matter if it seems to be in place. Remove the tape and re-seat the connector a few times to help clean the contacts and make sure it's secure. You don't have to put any tape back on it as long as it seems tight.
