Title is what im led to think after doing a few hours of research.
I usually only play plugged in but during christmas i try to start my laptop while not plugged it and it wouldnt, unplugging when it is turned on also results in it shutting down instantly.
What made me suspicious first though is that my laptop would just shut down when i started up any kind of game, undervolting seems to have lessened that issue but my laptop still turns after a few minutes.
I've tried a few things, starting with cleaning the fans since i thought it might be overheating before checking the forums but that wasnt it ive also ran said games while checking the temperature and none of my components went above 60°. Ive tried resetting the battery twice in a row and as i said earlier undervolting, i wanted some opinions before deciding if i should buy a new battery since it turns out the battery report says it is NOT dead and should hold about 2 hours of charge. Here are pieces of it :

    Hi @Babousheraf,

Are you getting any light indication when charger is connected.

What charger came with your laptop?
I bet you it is the 230-watt charger.

When you launch a game does it shudder and then go beeeeep and flash orange and disconnect the charger - Then run the game completely off battery at a semi-laggy state?

    If so.. CONGRATULATIONS!
You need to call ACER Support.

    ---------------------
    TL;DR
    ---------------------

So here is the EASIEST solution...

Either use the Web Chat or call 1800-695-2237
Say you want your ONE free charger that comes with your warranty, because you were given the wrong charger with your laptop.

When they Process the order, BE SURE TO VERIFY THEY GIVE YOU THE 180WATT not the 230WATT
They will say the 230 is compatible and is listed is such in the parts but if you give them the info below they will give you the only battery in the ACER Store that shows up for your laptop...

180W Adapter kit with Power Cord for Predator Series Laptops
    AK.180AP.010

Kickback and wait for the new charger.

    ---------------------
    Full Story
    ---------------------

I had the exact same issue since October of 2021, I called customer service and searched the internet for solutions.
Everyone tells you reset Bios, reset battery by holding down power button, update the bios, uninstall Battery Drivers, yada yada yada.. NONE OF THAT WILL WORK

I found in some obscure post from last year with someone having the exact same issue.

They had the 230watt power supply, with a NVIDIA card in their laptop, and everytime they would play an intensive game or run anything intensive throttling would occur and the battery would do that. They narrowed it down to the battery drivers and ACER laptop not working together when the NVIDIA card kicked on with the 230-watt connected.

They had a friend that had the exact same laptop but theirs came with a 180 watt charger. They tried it and it worked flawlessly, no lag in games at all. Everything was able to be run at max settings. Everything was perfect.

So I said screw it and called support, they sent me a new battery, it was the 230 watt AGAIN. I had to return it, and around and around we went. I eventually just used the Acer store and saw the part number and gave it to support and got the 180 watt charger free of charge in 3 days. But oh boy did that take forever. So here is the EASIEST solution...

Either use the Web Chat or call 1800-695-2237
Say you want your ONE free charger that comes with your warranty, because you were given the wrong charger with your laptop.

    AK.180AP.010

Kickback and wait for the new charger.

After it comes in, use the 230 as a paperweight because until they somehow update the drivers or bios to work with it, it will continue to draw too put power when the NVIDIA card powers on.

Babousheraf check your battery wear with hwinfo or battery bar pro of more that 15/20% consider replacing it its damaged the cells are dead and will become worse over time very fast to the point it will not accept any charge at all also never use your laptop on battery only especially for gaming only on emergency and really light works always on AC at all times good luck :)

yes, the charging led on the side is orange and the battery does charge for a second when the laptop starts altough it stops at 98%.
I do not believe it is the charger since im able to have the laptop run with it without the battery in it. also, when the laptop does shut down, it is instantaneous, lights out without any warning.

I did do that, and the wear is indeed 19%. i also always im plugged in when running big games, so i suppose my next question would be : is the laptop supposed to be able to handle heavy loads without a battery at all ? because if thats the case i might need a new battery AND charger. Also, thanks for everyone's answers so far.

I apologise for the multiple replies in a row, i am writing those as i am trying things out.
The battery was the problem : i do not know if it even holds any charge anymore but it was without a doubt defective, i ve removed it from the laptop and now everything seems to be working fine, ive been playing different games for a few hours now to see how things turn out and they turned out great.

You need a healthy battery for any heavy loads on AC you shouldnt remove the battery at all you need to get a replacement asap check the part number and give it a search  :)
