New ES1-533 "Plugged in, not charging"

The orange battery light keeps blinking. I've tried every solution that is online. Uninstalling everything under battery in device manager, resetting the battery, checking the cable/outlet, updating drivers, etc. It won't even allow me to contact Acer support because it says my warranty is out even though I literally got it..

Part Number: NX.GFTAA.010

Go to the elevated command prompt.  Enter 'powercfg /batteryreport'. Then return to the desktop. Open file explorer. Then search for' battery-report.html' in the c:\windows\system32\ sub-folder. Double-click to open it in the browser. Post screenshot of the first part of the report if possible that compares design full charge capacity with its remaining full charge capacity

When did you purchase the machine?

I do not know as it was a gift but I figure it was pretty recent. Looking up the SNID and S/N on this link, (https://service.acer.com/warranty) it said the starting date was in 2017 but I don't think that's correct.

Press Win+R. Enter 'msinfo32'. What is the BIOS version/date listed in the right pane?

Sorry, the machine is at least 5 years old. It is well beyond the standard warranty period for which the SNID would be valid.

The blinking orange battery charge LED suggests the battery's own internal charge controller detects an abnormal issue inside the battery that could cause damage or a battery fire.

I suggest that you retry the reset again by unplugging the charger and disconnecting the battery from the mainboard for at least an hour. Then reconnect the charger and see if the battery charge LED turns to steady orange, then steady blue.

If still no success, I suggest that you try a new replacement battery ASAP.. Google keywords es1-533 & battery for vendors who ship to your location. A new battery should be less than about $30usd.

Aw, well, that's unfortunate. Thank you for the help regardless! I'll have to see about opening it up then.
