How can I add 16 gig of ram when I can't get to the slots due to the fan ? Is this a manufacturing mistake?

What PC is this and what RAM you have now? If we knew this, maybe someone can recommend you new sticks?

To gain access to the RAM slots, looks like you need to remove the fan or the whole cooler. Is there anything about this in your manual? If you end up removing the cooler, please make sure that you have thermal paste at hand, because you'll need to remove the old paste and apply new.

predator PO5- 600s. I wanted more RAM for the VR flight sims. They have made something that is easy imposible. Surely that must be a manufacturing mistake to cover the RAM slots. I am going to get a 16 GB to replace the 4GB I think I can remove.

Just unscrew the fan off the heat sink, put the memory in place, then screw the fan back on.

    Hi @andypcollier,

With support for dual-channel DDR4 configurations (up to 64GB) and a buffet of high-speed storage options, Intel®'s Z3901 chipset.

Took out the 4 GB and added the 16Gb- now runs great with 20GB. Has a massive impact on DCS flight sim in VR
