Acer predator Helios 300 PH315-53 is always at high CPU clockspeed even when at idle

Hello guys, my machine(Acer predator Helios 300 PH315-53 RTX 2060 bios 1.01) is always at high clockspeed in windows 10, so whenever I open an application like chrome or firefox the CPU usage always goes up to 100% along with the CPU temps to 90C. After some time this does cooldown but this is very annoying. I did some searching and found that this guy here had the same issue I had and he solved it using speed shift and undervolting. However, in my case my CPU is 10th gen and I've read that undervolting is disabled in the 10th gen models.

1. What else can be done for this?
2. Is there a way to disable the "CPU boost"?

An interesting thing to note is that the above mentioned spikes does not happen in linux(Manjaro).
Please help. :)

    Hi @009,

CPU speed throttling is related to temperature. The CPU will run at a high clock speed as long as it doesn't get too hot. An Idle CPU does very little work, so it does not get hot, so there is no need for it to slow down.

Try clean installing your windows 10 (create a backup first)
Please update your bios to the latest version. (Undervolting is supported from bios version 2.02+)
