Laptop stops charging, then starts charging every few seconds VX 15

Hello everyone, I have a VX 15 with known battery issues. Sometimes my laptop is useable when plugged in, while some other times it has to be charging to turn on (not sure why it's like this, but yes I am looking to replace my battery). But just today after a fresh restart. My laptop stops charging for about 10 seconds, then begins charging for 20-30 seconds before stopping again. This goes on and on and it's been bugging me since the audio queue for charging/not charging keeps popping up. Any fix? I am asking around for a spare 19V 7.1A charger to test if that's the problem in the meantime.

Go to the elevated command prompt.  Enter 'powercfg /batteryreport'. Then return to the desktop. Open file explorer. Then search for' battery-report.html' in the c:\windows\system32\ sub-folder. Double-click to open it in the browser. Post screenshot of the first part of the report if possible that compares design full charge capacity with its remaining full charge capacity.

Well, the battery has lost more than 50% of its designed capacity. And if it loses charge quickly when not in use, it probably has an internal leak or short that's tripping the charger's circuit breaker on & off. This risks an overheated battery & fire. Since replacement batteries are less than $30, I'd reduce the risk and replace the battery if it were mine.
