I have been getting notifications to update to Windows 11 for a month. Yesterday I updated my laptop  ( Predator Helios 300 PH315-52) to windows 11 through windows update. Since then I have been observing increase in CPU temperature. During idling, CPU temperature was around 60 C. I then searched on the internet and I am not the only one to be facing this issue. So today I rolled back to Windows 10 but now temperatures are still high. Before update, the idling temperature was around 40 C. Will clean installation or factory reset fix this issue.

@ffi your temps are just fine as long as the cpu wont go above 85'ish and the dgpu 70/75 max youre fine and if you havent already optimise your windows properly and undervolt with TS also i dont recommend anyone to upgrade to wi11 in the next couple of years until the major bugs are at least patched as the win10 still full of bugs that they havent still fixed but at least its stable so for now 11 its  a big no no :)

How much should I do undervolt? What should be a good value for PH315-52? I think default undervolting has been reset due to upgrade.

Same thing here. Today I tried a fresh install of Windows 11 on my Helios 300 from 2018 (Model PH315-51 with Core i7 8750H, GTX 1060 6GB, 32GB RAM) Everything was running smoothly, then I noticed the fans just don't shut down even on idle. Tested this by removing the charger and running the laptop on battery doing absolutely nothing, just idle, still the fans were spinning at around 3000 rpms. Idle temps were 55-65 C

Never had this problem with Windows 10. At idle, my laptop fans never kick in, specially running on battery. Also I visited Acer website to download latest drivers for windows 11. None!! All were outdated drivers from 2018!! I suspect this maybe due to outdated drivers. Such a poor support from Acer. For the moment I have downgraded back to tried and tested Windows 10.

That may be one of the reasons Acer hasn't released W11 drivers for your model yet. Roll back to W10 until drivers are released for W11.
