Hi new here, question regarding the above my daughters laptop. There is currently no option to connect to wifi. The adaptor is the Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 Wireless Network Adaptor. When you load Network Status it starts to load then stops. I have tried removing the driver and restarting to allow the drivers to be reapplied. Have also downloaded the latest driver and loaded. This has not helped. The Wireless adaptor is definitely enabled and flight mode is not stuck on. About a week ago we did add a new memory chip in the spare slot. Subsequently the laptop had bluescreened on boot up regularly then afterwards would function correctly. This current wirelesss issue happened five days later, and for now I have taken the replacement memory out but the wireless issue remains. Any advice?

Thanks yes recovered with the factory reset and retain personal files. No amount of driver reinstalling was gonna work. Its working again now and she is adding back her apps.

Uninstall the wlan driver again. Don't re-install. Open Control Panel. Search 'button'. Click 'change what the power buttons do' in left pane. Click 'change settings that are currently unavailable' near the top of the next pane. Scroll down and uncheck the box for fast startup if not already unchecked. Then try the following steps.

    (1) Shut down Windows normally
    (2) Unplug charger. No LEDs should be lit.
    (3) Insert paper clip into reset pinhole on bottom for about a minute
    (4) Plug charger back in but wait till battery charge LED turns from steady orange to steady blue
    (5) Only after battery charge LED turns steady blue, turn laptop back on and immediately press the F2 key to enter the BIOS menu
    (6) Press F9 in the BIOS menu to load defaults. Press F10 to save defaults and exit the BIOS menu
    (7) Laptop should start Windows login normally.

    Test wifi again.

Thanks JackE. I have tried this and unfortunately this did not fix the issue. I have tried plugging an Eternet cable in from the laptop to the router also but this also cannot make a connection. Network Status still crashes out as soon as you load it.

OK. Shut laptop off. Press and hold the ALT key. While still holding the ALT key, turn the machine on and IMMEDIATELY start tapping the F10 key --- don't let go of the ALT key. A recovery menu should appear with an option to allow you to reset the Windows to factory fresh state while saving personal files.
