Acer XZ272 Won't Turn On After Extended Period Off - Debian
I have an XZ272 monitor connected via HDMI. With Debian installed, every time the monitor is off for an extended period of time it will start off with a "No Signal." The only way to get the monitor to work is to force a restart of the desktop, after which it will come on.
I did not previously have this issue on Windows. I thought at first it was an issue with Debian, but I tried with a monitor from another brand and there were no waking issues at all, so seems specific to the combination of Debin / Acer montior

It's dependent on how Debian is handling the various sleep modes. If they sleep the HDMI enough to tell the monitor there's no longer anything connected, rather than it's connected but asleep, the monitor will also go into full sleep mode, which requires a power button to fully wake. I think they have it that way because it scores better on power savings tests...
