AS16A5K instead of AS16A8K acer e5-475

Hello, I brought a replacement battery for my acer e5-475, the store just gave me an AS16A5K but my old dead battery is AS16A8K. They same that they are the same and still compatible but I observed that the wires on my original dead battery is different from the replacement battery, now when I installed the replacement battery it shows no battery is present. Advice me please, what to do next. Thank you.

@cameelshayn if you have installed the new battery but laptop doesn't boot without plugged in or detect the new battery, you might need to return that one or ask them to change to different one.Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.

Both should work fine in this model. Open Device Manager. Click batteries folder. Right click and uninstall all device drivers in this folder. Exit Device Manager without re-installing anything. Shut down Windows normally. Then wait for battery charge LED to turn from steady orange to steady blue. Then turn machine back on and let Windows re-detect battery and charger and automatically re-install fresh copies of the drivers.

@AnhEZ28 My laptop works fine with the replaced battery, even if it is not plugged in. But I can't charge it if the battery is not drained. We already performed the device manager- battery uninstall and shutdown. But the battery indicator still displays no battery yet still supplying power0 -

@AnhEZ28 yes, it might be. That's why it couldn't detect the battery percentage. Also, I can't charge the laptop with the new battery installed unless the battery is drained. Maybe I'll ask for replacement1
