This icon appears instead, any idea how to fix this? This has been happening for quite a while where the wifi would just disconnect suddenly for swift 3. Wifi option also disappears where only airplane mode and cellular is present.

    Try windows x
Go to device manager - Go to Network adapter.  Expand it
Uninstall the wireless driver from device manager.
Restart the computer.  It should work fine..

If it is still not working
Uninstall the wireless driver from device manager
    Dont restart the computer.
    Go to support.acer.com
    chose your country
type snid or chose your model
    go to drivers
    Install the wireless driver

What computer do you have? Which WiFi adapter is in it? Are you connecting to a 2.4GHz or 5GHz network? Does the router have a limitation as to the number of allowed connections?

I have the same problem: Wi-Fi adapter does not work.

Laptop ACER SWIFT 3 SF314-58-58XS. Bought 18 months ago.
    Wi-Fi adapter Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz.

Wi-Fi did work well untill a few weeks ago. Then Wi-Fi adapter started failing, more and more in course of the days. And now it is completely impossible to have it work.

    Reïnstalling drivers does not help.
Removing and reïnstalling Wi-Fi adapter (and drivers) also does not help.
    All drivers are up-to-date.

    What can I do?

Which driver version are you running? Intel has been doing lots of updates on those over the last few months.

Acer swift 3, adapter if I’m not wrong intel (R) dual band wireless AC 7265 and connecting To a 5GHx network which does not have a limitation to the number of allowed connections.

Had to network reset to allow connection but this issue would happen again at random timing. Is this a fault in the laptop which requires servicing asap?

    Driver Intel Wi-Fi 21.90.2.1
Because this is the last/newest driver that is mentioned on the Acer Support site.

However, I also tried the driver Intel Wi-Fi 22.80.1 without any success (clean installation after removing exiting drivers).

@Xinyi12 Which Swift 3 model do you have? There have been literally hundreds of different ones. :) Should be something like SF3xx-xxx-xxxx. It might be worthwhile to just swap out the AC 7265 for a new AX 201 if you have one of the Swift models that supports that...
