I have a new Acer lap and it is really slow since I updated it with the Windows 11 preview?

Should I get more Ram?
What sort of ram is recommended?
Kingston?
Adata?
Also how much ram is recommended for a daily used laptop?
I currently have 4GB and I suspect that is why the official windows 11 version doesn't run smoothly

Open Task Manager under Win 10, check the memory usage under the Performance tab.  If it is close to 100% usage, then you may want to upgrade the RAM.
I always suggest people to add RAM matching the specification of the original RAM. Run CPUID CPU-Z or Speccy to determine the original RAM spec. Don't know what is your laptop model number, so cannot recommend blindly.

Do not know about how you will use your laptop. I just upgrade my laptop from 4GB to 8GB, as I am not a gamer and I'll not do heavy video editing with the laptop. For surfing the web, pay bills, E-mails, some word processing and some photo editing, I think 8 GB is sufficient.

4GB is almost never enough memory. Minimum you want 12GB even if you are not gamer.
    Add a 8GB or 16GB stick
    I added a 16GB and 2.5 inch ssd sata 500GB  to my A515-46-R14K
You should put down your exact model number

Yes, without knowing what laptop you have, we can't make any concrete suggestions. What model number, which CPU, which GPU, how much memory, how much storage???
