Please, I need help.

After updating to Windows 11, my Spin 5 SP513-54N screen flickered and turned black.
I have gone back to Windows 10, it didn't work. I have tried to install different graphic drivers from Acer and Intel websites, that didn't fix the issue. The flickering and black screen happens in Bios.
External monitor works when connected with hdmi.

Do the symptoms change at all when in BIOS and you move the screen forward and back?

No. It flickers and then goes black. If I close the lid and reopen it, it starts flickering again until it goes black

Yes, if you are still in warranty go ahead and have Acer support generate a ticket for you. If not let us know and we'll dig into possible causes and repairs.

the warranty expired 2 months ago and Acer support isn't helping. I was asked to find a local technician that can help me fix the issue. I can't tell if this is a driver issue or a hardware issue.

OK, if you can't pin it down to different behavior when the screen is moved back and forth that usually means it's not the eDP cable breaking down from the flexing. Since it happen in the BIOS and in Windows it's not software drivers, since in the BIOS they aren't yet used. That, unfortunately, is pointing at a hardware issue, or something that is causing improper initialization during POST. You could force a CMOS refresh then boot into the BIOS with the drive removed, then reset to defaults with the F9 and save and exit with F10, then enter the BIOS again to see if it still appears. If it does then I can't think of anything it could be other than hardware. If it clears up then likely the W11 upgrade overwrote the EFI image and that is mucking with the video initialization. I fresh install of W10 on a wiped clean drive (so no partitions are left) will get you back to normal... Then wait for MS to push the update before trying again for W11.

Thanks @billsey. I have tried all those steps and I still can't get the screen to work. I'll just get used to using an external monitor until I get another laptop.
