X321QU starting to flicker, do I need a new power supply?

Member Posts: 3 New User
Hello,
I've been using a Acer Predator Z321qu for about 4 years now, its a good monitor and I like it, but recently it has start to randomly flicker.
It only happens 2-3 times a day, but its noticeable, and has me wondering if the power supply is about to die.
Do I need to get a new power supply?  Where can I find one for my monitor?

It's possible, it's also possible the cables are starting to fail or you have new electrical noise being introduced. Get a new refrigerator lately? :)

Not a new refrigerator, but I did get my AC/Furnace replaced.
    Could that be it?
I guess I'll try to see if the flicker happens, when the compressor kicks on, but I haven't noticed any connection between the flicker and the ac cuton.

Hrmm I don't think they are connected, the monitor just flickered while the AC was off.
Its strange though, when it happens.
The monitor darkens alot, I can still see the desktop, but its very dark.
And I swear moving my mouse makes it go away. *confused*

I'm having a hard time finding a 'in-stock' replacement power supply, can you suggest one?

I wonder if it's on the computer side instead of the monitor itself. I have my system set to change modes as it approaches bedtime, so allow my eyes to get ready. You may be seeing the GPU switch into a sleep mode of some sort.
