Hi,

I have an Acer Swift 3 SF314-43 R5 5500U with USB-C 3.2, I checked the manual and it supports Display Port.  However, when I try to use it to connect to an external monitor (Viewsonic TD1655), it displays no signal.  I tried to update the display drivers to the latest but still 'No Signal'.  Monitor is working fine using the HDMI port and also when tried it on a different laptop with thunderbolt usb-c.

Hoping for an advice to resolve this.

Thank you.

    Hi @JVO8,

You said "Monitor is working fine using the HDMI port and also when tried it on a different laptop with thunderbolt usb-c". Then issue may be with the cable. Check is there any damage on it.

    Hi,
I've tried the type c cable that came with the monitor and also bought a new one, still displays no signal. No issues with the type c cables since they are both working on the other laptop with thunderbolt.
    Thanks.

Are you using a USB-C to USB-C cable or a USB-C to HDMI, or USB-C to DP?

Hi, I'm using USB-C to USB-C cable which works fine with the other laptop. But can't get the Swiff 3 to work. Hdmi to mini hdmi works on the Swift 3.

I just tried to use a Type C hub with HDMI and it displays a to the monitor.  It is kind of weird, where USB C to USB C does not work.

Summary of what is working and not.

    What works:
    - HDMI (Swift 3) to Mini HDMI (Monitor)
    - USB C to USB C cable not an issue since it works with other laptop
    - Using a USB C hub with HDMI, Swift 3 outputs a display to the monitor using the HDMI from the hub.  I believe this confirms that Type C port on the Swift 3 has DisplayPort

What is weird is when using the Type C to Type C cable, there is No Signal.

    Any thoughts?  Thank you.

Hello @JVO8! I am also facing the same situation - can you advise which USB-C Hub with HDMI are you using?
