After buying predator helios 300 I got to use it for less than 2 months and it was working totally fine. When a windows update was released I had low battery on the laptop after i plugged it in as i was working on it,5 minutes later it restarted automatically and it froze like that I held the power button for a manual restart the logo appeared and I got a message saying "windows configuration....." under the predator logo and it got suck for a while and then I restarted it again the keyboard lid but the screen is pure black. I've tried everything related to RAM and battery reset. If you have any suggestions please let me know!!!

First of all, if the keyboard is lid after power on then it’s good sign
next after replacing memory you need to give system 3-5 minutes to auto adjust timings
if even after 10 min you have back screen, try another good memory stick

I tried multiple memory sticks and left it for at least 10 mins and I still get black screen

@Lozin Hi! Please follow the below steps given below

    1. Turn off your computer and unplug the power cable

    2. If your system has a battery pinhole reset on the bottom, insert a small paperclip in the battery reset pinhole and hold the button down for 10econds.

    3. Insert the power cable then turn on the computer and keep tapping f2 key which will take you in to bios screen then tap f9 for load defaults then f10 for save and exit and check whether it's taking in to login screen

    4. If the 3rd step didn't work do multiple shutdown( turn on the computer and once you see the acer logo turn off the computer) for 3 to 4 time then turn on the computer and check whether it takes in to advance option on the screen or not

Try an external display to see if you can get image to go into the bios to reset setup to defaults and what is the exact model of the laptop

Lozin thats weird perform a battery powedrain with the powe button as your model doesnt have the pinhole switch disconnect from AC press/hold the power for 60s+ then leave the laptop to rest 2/3h and try to boot it again if youre successful reset bios settings to default if not probably the best its to contact acer support and send it back to get it checked might be also ram issues at this point might be anything

I have the same problem as Lozin, same model. Ive just enquired acer for the warranty so i can get a replacement or fix, i hope thus doesnt take to much time I real need the laptop. I think they should come all updated with the drivers and stuff and this faults should be looked upon if they are conflits in the software. I would love some feedback as how long should it take and what causing so many people to have this black screen problem?

I wonder if the forced shutdown during update messed up your hdd, preventing your laptop from booting. Remove your hdd and boot with your SSD which i believe should have the OS on it? If it works you can still disable the problem sata/hdd from the bios.
