Is there some kind of hidden bios setting in Acer Swift 3X that allow this kind of feature? I have a 5year old dell laptop that has this and its quite useful especially if you want to keep the lid closed and boot up the laptop when power is supplied to the AC/TB port.

Go to Power Options in Windows and set what happens when the lid is closed to nothing. That will stop the sleep/hibernate/shut down process.

    I think you've misunderstood.

It has nothing to do with the laptop sleeping when the lid is closed. What I am looking for is for the laptop to power on when the power adapter is connected to the wall outlet while the lid is closed.

Hmm, that would have to be a BIOS option, similar to what they do with servers. It's a lot tougher with laptops since the motherboard often doesn't have a good way to tell the difference between battery power without a charger and battery power with a charger connected. The power button would work fine for turning it on with the lid closed, and the normal sleep cycle would allow it to go off when not needed. I see nothing in the Swift X documentation about a default power on state in the BIOS...

How do you get to press the power button with the lid closed?

Ah, that's right... The Swift 3X has the power button on the keyboard instead of on the side. :) You might be able to wake it using the Wake on LAN function, but that involves having another system on your network to do it. Easiest is to just open, turn on, then close again. :(
