2560x1440 resolution monitor issues on aspire a515-51g-84nj

Hello everyone,
I have an issue with a new Philips monitor (native resolution: 2560x1440). I have connected it to my laptop via HDMI and the native resolution of the monitor was not visible in the Displays windows settings.
I have managed to set a custom 2560x1440 resolution via Intel Graphics Command Center but the fonts appear blurry.
I have tested the HDMI cable using another monitor and it worked well.
I have also checked and all my drivers are up to date.

Could someone assist me in resolving this issue?

Yeah. Unfortunately the HDMI v1.4b port doesn't.  2560x1440 is its max rez for v1.4b usually at rates below 30Hz. Sorry.

Can you check to determine if the the Monitor can display QHD resolution through HDMI? So, in order to project progressive display resolution such as that, the laptop should meet the specification requirements to project it onto an external monitor. You checked with a different monitor with HDMI, is that a monitor with the same resolution with the same laptop? If it did, it might not be the computer, could be the monitor.

Sorry, it was a typo. I tested the same monitor and cable with another laptop and it worked fine.

What refresh rate did you set at that resolution?

The only refresh rate that worked was 24p (set in Intel Graphics Command Center). Other higher refresh rates like 60p would not be set by the Command Center. The monitor supports up to 75Hz.
