Hi, a few days ago when I was checking my speaker properties, I found out that the Default Format for my speaker is greyed out and cannot be changed. May I know is this normal for AN515-45-R7QR, or it is just me that's facing this problem? If it is a problem, may I know how to fix it?

    Try windows x
Go to device manager - Go to sound video and game controllers.  Expand it
Uninstall the sound driver from device manager.  Please uninstall all the items below the sound video and game controllers.
Restart the computer.  It will automatically install the driver.    It should work fine..

    Now try to check it..

If it is still not working
Uninstall the sound driver from device manager
    Don't restart the computer.
    Go to support.acer.com
    chose your country
type snid or chose your model
    go to drivers
    Install the sound driver

    Now try to check it..

Do I need to uninstall all under 'sound video and game controllers' including NVIDIA drivers?

    YMIAL8290,

It looks like hardware issue. Contact acer tech support,

OR book the unit for repair service,

    Hi @YMIAL8290

Since you have already tried to reinstall the drivers you can also try to do a complete reset to check if that makes any difference.

NOTE: Make sure to backup all the data before the reset.

Hope it will help you in some way.
