hi to all,
I checked the list of models compatible with the new version of win 11 and noticed that the laptop model I own is not, Aspire E 15.

PC Health, shows me the only reason why it is not compatible with win 11.

For this reason I checked other models on the Acer website and noticed that there are compatible i3 and i5 models, but this i7, isn't it? hmmmm ....
is there a solution, or will there be one?

Be patient since Win11 is still a Microsoft software work in progress, not Intel, not AMD, not ACER, not Dell, not HP, not any of the hardware manufacturers.

8th generation intel CPUs are allegedly a minimum requirement so far. Your's is 5th generation.

Have a look at this guide "Windows 11 specs, features and computer requirements" as it outlines all the CPU's of either Intel and AMD that are compatible with Win-11 and what the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0. Check here for instructions on how your PC might be enabled to meet the Win-11 requirements.0 -
i3, i5 and i7 are different levels for each generation of processor. Typically the first number after the i#- gives the generation. So your i7-5500U is 5th gen, an i7-8700 would be the 8th gen equivalent. You can swap different generation processors into a board that's designed for the older chips. In your case you'll need a new machine to use W11. Stick with W10 until you are ready for hardware upgrades.

That is correct, you have a 5th gen processor and W11 requires an 8th gen or newer. It's not just the speed... Microsoft might fix that in the future, but for now they are just going to say 'not supported'.
