Hello all,

My Helios 300 has died and I need to replace the motherboard on it.
Laptop was bought in 2017 so the warranty doesn't apply anymore.

Any of you know where to get it and/or how to do it?

It's the 2017 Helios 300 i7-7700HQ/1060 6GB.

Easwar, the laptop is out of Warranty.
Contacting Acer will not help me in this case.
I need to just replace the MoBo since apparently it's my last resort.

As an update, on the website it says customer support for out of warranty is asking here or "Answersby".
Went to their website and the "customer support" told me to Contact Acer directly.

Hey GabrielMM3 now that you have given the exact model number of your laptop the motherboard Acer reference that I gave you above is for the model Predator G3-571 also! There is no higher spec and/or other motherboard that you can replace your existing motherboard with.

I mean, it CLEARLY says G3-572, not 571.

GabrielMM3 a replacement donor (used) mobo will cost you more than getting a new laptop i wouldnt recommend it unless you can find a really cheap one on aliexpress/ebay etc good luck but personally wouldnt spend any money on it :)

The mobo is around 450/500. A new laptop is around 1200 at least.
Cost more than a new laptop where?

Ofc the new laptop would be updated and better but still, idk.
But honestly, I agree that spending 500$ on it would be too much...better upgrade now that spend that much on older hardware.

I was hopeful I would get any input from Acer or someone that knows where I can get it for a good price.
