Analog Jack audio in not working one V270H

I have two displays, one V270H and another V277, both have p2 "audio in" jackets.

I tried to connect both of them to my computer so I would have a "stereo" sound output using the monitors built in speakers, however no sound comes out of them

What am I doing wrong?

for further reference, both my monitor displays are connected through HDMI ports, I'm using a Windows 10.

But it doesn't matter, I tried connecting a 3.5mm p2 cable to my mobile cellphone to try to use any of them as speakers to no avail.

First, are you sure your models have speakers? Many of the monitor series have models both with and without speakers. If yours don't have speakers there's not much we can do. :) If they do have speakers there is going to be another issue. Windows doesn't know how to split the audio tracks between two output channels, so HDMI will only output sound to one monitor. To do what you wish you'll have to hack up some cables to split the left and right audio to two mono jacks.

Acer monitors usually only accepts 3.5mm audio input cables for VGA and DisplayPort video inputs.

The monitor ignores 3.5mm audio if you use HDMI video inputs (which has audio signal in the same HDMI cable).
