If the temperature of your CPU is going above 80 degrees celsius then there are high chances of some serious issues on your PC. First of all, check the cooling fans, if any of them is not working properly then get them replaced. Also, check whether the thermal paste is applied properly or not. If not get it fixed immediately, this might also be a reason why you are facing this problem.

I'd say don't waste your time in finding the issue and return it to get a different one, Claim warranty if its not returnable

Find out your processor and use Google to find out it’s code name and if it is ‘known’ to run hot.
Intel Comet Lake processors are known to run hot.
They are made on 14nm process same as the previous Coffee lake processors that are also know to run hot.
90c is actually normal for some Intel processors running at 100%.
When you put a hot processor in a small laptop it will always run hot.

There MIGHT be a problem with your laptop cooling IF your processor is running at or around 85c or higher and NO hot air is coming out.
