Hi all,

I am having an issue with my predator helios 300 (PH315-52), battery life estimated for this laptop is around three hours but mine is between an hour and an hour and a half.
I use my pc mainly for work, I am a game dev student, so coding, modelling, watching lectures...

I just bought it recently (september) so I am quite confident there is something wrong here.

Any advice? Shall I contact CS?

Thanks.

@Kews no nothing will help to increase battery life you shouldnt even use it on battery only always on AC at all times the batteries on gaming laptops werent designed to be used on battery the main purpose its to aid the adapter with more power when this one cant provide enough to the cpu/dgpu also check your battery wear with hwinfo or battery bar pro if over 15 to 25% consider replacing the cells are damaged they wont hold the designed capacity anymore and normal battery time in a normal gaming laptop goes from 1.5h to 3h depending on the hardware and powerdraw also calibrate the battery properly once every 3/6 months completely discharge and let it recharge with the power off repeat the process 3 times owning a gaming laptop requires loads of constant maintenance/optimization/undervolting and most times repasting to keep it in shape but most ppl seem to forget that they just think its buy power on and forget about it as they do on a normal laptop it doenst work that way and in time the issues will arise due to the lack of maintenance and care either way good luck :)

Battery draining is very effective issue which we faced we doesn't use of best laptops without charger but
the reason may not be the quality of the laptop but something you have been ignoring for a while.
Here's i suggest you some advice you can increase your battery life to follow that
    Turn off brightness.
    Use microsoft edge broewser.
    Don't wait for battery drain.
    Turn on battery saver.

    Hi ecce_carpet,

    1. Change the Power Mode.
    2. Reduce Screen Brightness.
    3. Turn on 'Battery Saver'
    4. Detect and Disable Battery-draining Apps.
    5. Disable Background Apps to Improve Battery Life.
    6. Change Power and Sleep Settings.
    7. Disable UI Animations and Shadows.
    8. Turn off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
